Massive Well done to 2 welsh runners making the A standard for this summers Commonwealth Games 10000M
Dewi Griffiths - 28.48 Adam Bitchell - 28.50
You see, there is still some talent about from the youngsters in Wales. Has anyone from the club ever run this fast, Mick? Even on 80s courses! :-)
Good luck to both of them!

Thank you, Stuart. I was aware of Dewi but not Adam. Certainly great news - and good luck to them at the Commonwealths. And no one from this club has run sub 29 minutes - Paul Wheeler is our record holder at 29:13. I think you'll find that tracks were measured pretty accurately in the 1980s, Stu. Not always the case with roads though.

I remember being outsprinted in the Grangetown Festival 10k on grass, at the Marl in the 80s by John Huggins. Huggy finished in 26.30, and I was just behind. Two world bests at the time! You're right about the dodgy measuring then , but I enjoyed the race.
