Hi folks

I know it's a tad early, but if you've run this race before can you let me know what races you entered in the lead up to it. As we all know every race gets full really quickly so I'd like an idea of what when and where as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance.

Mike

It's hard to say but the Roman Run and Man v Horse arre good ones. You need to get your hills in though, flat it an't. Caerphilly mouintain good trainning ground you're welcome to join me. Tenby marathorn and 1/2 marathon are good too. If you can do the Tenby Marathon than Snowdona will be easier. I thought Tenby marathon was harder! Good luck and it's a good weekend.

Yes, I certainly agree that the Roman Run is a good race to do. First 7 or so miles it up, up, up and its mainly off road. It'll toughen you up!
Do the hill up to the Black Cock as part of your long run if you can. I'm doing a hilly marathon in April and plan on incorporating the Black Cock hill into my long runs (from Sunday). I've also entered the Rhayadar 30K in March - probably a tad too early for you. And of course there's the hill sessions on Mondays. Good luck with your training, its a great race.

good on you mike..

post race.
> study the menu options at petes eats before hand !!..

> take a post race "Free" ice bath in the lake

races
i'm not really sure it matters so much pre-race races.. to that extent. roman run is a good shout.. but really its all about those hills training..

one of my favorate places to run and enjoy afterwards.. clearly its obvious but bring all the post race warm cloths and shoes.. it can be wet and rainy.. defo one to start slow and not get carried away half way..

quite a few people follow the race on a bike.. but with that weather I do wonder why !

...

good luck
