Another fantastic Castles show - and I don't mean just the runners!
During my time at the Castles Presentation I lost count of the number of people saying what a
great time they'd had, and how the Castles Relay never ceased to amaze them.
It is a fantastic team game, and sometimes it's easy to forget the number of unsung heroes who
simply show up every year just to see a piece of the action.
YOU ALL MAKE THE CASTLES THE FANTASTIC EVENT IT IS!
The bare facts are that the Senior Team were 4th, and the Ladies and the vets won.
Everyone played their part. Comparisons are difficult, because the prevailing weather can
influence times a lot. The course is basically the same as last year (apart from the finish
in Cardiff). Croups team comparisons with last year (for what they're worth):
Senior Men were 18 minutes 2 seconds slower than 2016
Vets were 20 minutes 27 seconds faster than 2016
Ladies were 66 minutes 16 seconds faster than 2016.
