I always rememeber when i joined the club Liz Kirwin would post this about now.

Me starting this post is not the same as liz but its good to keep it going as im sure liz would want that.

Time to start those goals again

Mine are
1. Run a decent marathon in manchester
2. Return to a decent half time (ideally a PB). 122 be nice
3. A decent 5k near 18 would be great
4. A decent 10k sub 38 be nice
5. Run a good castles leg if selected.
6. run as many off roads as i can

most important, continue to enjoy running with one of the greatest clubs in the planet - with a great bunch of peope

My goals for 2017 are....

1. To enjoy my training and running as much as possible.

2. To run with the club more often. (great people to train with!)

3. To do the Park Run much more! (Perhaps start to be a 5km runner instead of saying I dont like them!)

4. To actually volunteer to do something to help the club instead of just running all of the time! (Could be to help at the Park Run or Couch To 5km, preferably both!)

5. To keep at it.

6. To master my new gopro and to post some You Tube video's!

7. To get better

8. To Smile more.

Easy peasy..

1) Listen to physio-ubermaestro Andrew Seary ("Be sensible, take it easy, keep to short stuff, do all the stretches")

2) London Marathon (114 days)

May all your goals be realised, and cake baked, in 2017

Hmmm. "Keep to short stuff" and "Train for London". I'd say less "easy peasy" and more "mutually exclusive". Good luck in your endeavours though :-P

Well for me this year, I just want to keep clear of injuries which hampered me a bit last year. So for me my goals are:

1. Consistent and careful training. I have changed my training regime which seems to have worked for me so far over the last 4 months. I am doing 3 weeks full on training 4-5 days per week, but now I take a 1 week recovery where I only train 2 times. I have found my improvement slower than before but I think this recovery is what I need to stop getting injured.
2. Get in to the Castles vets team.
3. If I can achieve the above then hopefully I will get close to my best form in 2009, 2013 & 2014 in the later half of the year.

A good stab at number 4 today, James - and a negative split too.
