Quite a few from the club will be racing this weekend. I have decided to miss the Cardiff 10km in favour of the very scenic Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon this year which has had some fantastic reviews!

Its fast so I hope it papers over some very large cracks and makes me look alot better than I actually am!! ThumpUp

Im just going to treat it like a hard training run and enjoy the scenery. I know Alan Man and Lorreta are doing it so I will see them up there! Smile

Good luck to everyone running this and the Cardiff 10km and any other races that are on this weekend. Cmon the Croups!!

Cardiff 10km race will start at 10am Sunday 11th Sept and the 2K Run at 9.15am

The Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon is the fastest course I have ever ran on! It must have been 90% downhill! I would totally recommend it to any PB seekers out there! The winner ran 68 today! Its a well organised and very scenic race and I would give it 10/10! Cool

Ironicaly I had a personal worst because I just didnt have it in my legs to race it. I am aiming to be consistent with my long runs and speedwork so hopfully next year I can start improving on my times again.Smile

I hope everyone did well in this and the other races that were on this weekend. Looking forward to speedwork on Tuesday, goodness knows I need it!! Scared

Roll on the Cardiff Half thats another very picturesqe training run to look forward to.BigGrin

Well done to all the sub 55 minute members.
Extremely good times there.
As for those of you who got sub 45 and sub 40, you are all genetically modified!
I cannot believe that MacDonald beat me by 2 seconds LOL!
How dare he!
Next time David, your mine!
Well done to all the 5k+ crew too.
It was so cool to run with you guys. :)
I think we should do that every weekend!
I would also like to drop in a special mention to John.
He really was inspirational today.
He just ket going and did not give up. Brilliant grit.
WELL DONE JOHN!

Well done to everyone who raced today, and a big thanks to everyone out supporting around the 10K course today.

Well done especially to all the 5K+ runners, many of whom are now new club members. Stu, well done, and glad you enjoyed today. Think you and the rest of the gang really kept Jon going today when he was struggling, he really appreciated the support you all gave him, thank you.

Its great to think the club is encouraging new people to take up the sport!

Lets hope we have some fresh faces added to the club as a result of this to add to the many success stories we already have! ThumpUp

Echo your comments Lyndon- great race, beautiful location and course, very well organised. Definitely will make the journey to North Wales to do this again.

Well done to all who ran this and Cardiff 10k!
