I thought this was worth mentioning on the forum, last night we had 11 new members sign up for club membership with Les Croupiers and will be sporting club vests in the Cardiff 10k this Sunday. I think you will agree that this is a fantastic result from the programme which started in April, and I think the commitment from all athletes and supporters should be applauded. I hope we have continued success and support with the ongoing C25K & 5K+ programmes that are going ahead in the future....Ralph

Well said Ralph. Tomorrow is the 5k for the couch to 5k group so come along to parkrun and cheer them along!

Well done to all involved. I mean it.
This is not a token posting.
This would not be possible without the group leaders turning up every night to co-ordinate it all.
You do this off your own backs and do not have to do anything.
Let us not take this selfless support for granted.
It is essential to the life blood of the club.
Here's to the mighty session leaders!
...and to John for sorting out shed loads of random stuff behind the scenes. John you are brilliant.
11 new members is also a massive plus for the Club too.
Some of those new members are also YOUNGER too.
Now no one faint at that news LOL
I personally, will be running with pride with my team mates around Cardiff on Sunday and my long suffering wife on Saturday.
It will be rather emotional.
That is...if I can keep up with the mad McDonald and my wife does not strangle me for being too excited!

Worth remembering too, that after the 10k this Sunday, come Monday, we'll be starting another C25k group, a new 5k+ group, plus we'll have 11 new members (perhaps somewhat nervously) turning up to regular club sessions who will need encouragement, nurturing AND practical support from ALL of us as they're still all relatively new to this running lark.

Good to see the couch to 5K members at the Cardiff 10k today, hope you all enjoyed it. If you're bitten by the racing bug there's plenty of good stuff over the next few months.
