Hello all, I've been looking at local races here in Austria to provide some extra motivation for getting fit again. As well as the local half marathon in July (two laps of a local lake), I came across a beauty organised by the local running club. It appears to be aimed at the clinically insane so I thought it might appeal perfectly to some Croups members. The race is the Gerlitzenberglauf which roughly translates to Gerlitzen mountain run. The idea is that you run from the bottom gondola station to the top gondola station. Only 11km and 910m ascent. What could be more straight forward? Here's the route and profile for those that fancy a giggle. http://www.lc-villach.org/node/168 Only 18 euros to enter! Further info here: http://www.lc-villach.org/gerlitzenberglauf Update: It even has a downhill finish. Bonus! Edited by user 01 May 2016 21:14:07(UTC)
