As I'm suspecting I may have a tight ITB, I'm wondering whether it's worth wearing some form of knee support/strap while running (I'm not convinced they work tbh!). I can run but I do feel a level of discomfort while running (particularly downhill. Was fine in the San Dom 20 but felt it last night). I don't feel it at all while walking or at rest. I'm doing plenty of stretching, rolling and strengthening excerises at the moment as well as cross training in place of some of my runs (at least I'm getting value out of my gym membership ). I'd be grateful if some of you could provide a few tips - I know one or two people wear knee supports so maybe they do help?

I wore one for a perio when I had a ITB problem early last year and I thought they worked for me. I can't completely say it wasn't a placebo effect but I have it in the house and you are welcome to try it out if you wish.

Hi Marcus. Thanks for the offer. I'll be at Paulas q and a session tomorrow and will do the run (probably one of the shorter options ☺). Ill give it a try and see how I get on if that's OK. See you then.
