This is a brand new course so I thought I would put my thoughts on it down in case anybody was thinking of doing it next year.

I'm not sure if any of my fellow Croups are here but I'm just by the start line. I'm told its not a PB course and its 6.6 miles gently down followed by 6.6 miles gently up. A few hills thrown in and steps. The main race kicks off at 10.10 and it will be my first race this year so I have no idea how I'm going to do.

Very easy to park near Race HQ with many free spaces available. Very laid back and friendly atmosphere and the registration on the day process was well manned in alphabetical order. Doesn't seem to be an abundance of toilets so im guessing that could become an issue near the race start. Lots of marshals about and Ambulances on site which is always reassuring.

I'm just hoping for a fairly clean run but im not expecting too much of myself. I suspect from what they have said the 2nd half may be a bit of a test!Unsure

Given my track record last year I just hope everything goes smoothly. I sure can pick em!Scared

Had a great run! I was 11th according to a marshal that passed me on a bike. I opened up a huge gap on the chasing pack and must admit I relaxed a bit on the last mile. 1.22.44 well pleased! BigGrin

The course was a bit dinky but I enjoyed it.

1.22.40 no reports of any issues with the race length so I would be more than happy to take that as an official time.BigGrin
