Hi Everyone - I've had the following e-mail through about a new development in the 401 Challenge. Please feel free to join if you wish to do so and show your support for Ben.
My name is Jason and I am from EtchRock. Ben Smith of the 401 Challenge was kind enough to pass along your email address as he mentioned your running club has helped him by participating in his challenge.
Ben has asked me to get in touch with you to provide some information on a 401 Run With Ben virtual challenge that he is going to be launching on our platform on Monday 16th November.
As you know, Ben is running his 401 marathons in support of Kidscape and Stonewall to tackle bullying in todays society. November 16th marks the start of anti-bullying week and in partnership with the 401 Challenge, EtchRock has created the #401RunWithBen virtual challenge. In the spirit of the 401 Challenge, we are challenging the running community to try and reach the mammoth goal of 401,000 miles to show that we stand united against bullying and are with Ben every step of the way! It offers people a fun way to take part in 401 Challenge in more ways than just a donation. I have attached a PDF with this email that gives you a much more detailed breakdown of what the #401RunWithBen entails and how you can take part.
For this challenge, we have designed new functionality that makes it easy for running club members to not only log their miles as an individual, but also as a club. Not only can you see your club’s member’s miles on your own club leaderboard, you can also see where you stack up against other running clubs around the UK. In the PDF we have gone into greater detail about how to set up a club on EtchRock.com.
At the end of the day this challenge is all about helping out Ben and trying to get his challenge as much exposure as possible. Every run that someone logs on the #401RunWithBen challenge and shares on the their social accounts goes a long way in helping raising awareness for Ben’s challenge and his anti-bullying causes.
We would love to have your club and members join us throughout this challenge, as it will be running until he finishes marathon number 401. It is completely free to join for all members and presents you with an opportunity to engage with a new community of aspiring runners whilst simultaneously supporting Ben’s amazing challenge.
If you have any questions then please don’t hesitate to ask, I am always around during normal office hours and more than happy to help you get set up!
