Is it hilly, a good one to do ahead of Snowdonia marathon?

No its not hilly. Its relatively flat. The only hill I remember is the hill at the very end - you basically have to run uphill to the finish line (and you run down the same hill at the start).

It's a great HM though the start is quite congested. First mile is uphill, thereafter it's flat, run back downhill for mile 12-13 and there's an uphill finish. Very popular race. Chances are, if you book now and change your mind, you'll find someone to officially transfer/buy the place from you.

Aine, it is the other way round, you go up the hill in the first mile and then come down it in the final mile.

I seem to remember up hill sections more then down hill ones! Amanda probably has a better description (but there is a hill up to the finish!).

It's a great race, stunning scenery and definitely a PB course. Congested start, as its narrow - the description above is accurate. Great for a weekend away.

Lyndon - I think you meant to put... 'I haven't *yet* run a sub-75 half'. P.M.A. ;-)

Hi Ange

I am driving up on the morning leaving early so we have no stress hopefully on route. Ian Mackenzie and Cari Randell are co pilots and there is room for you if you would like a lift. Cari is preparing the cake menu so the more the merrier.

I have a spare entry for Lake Vyrnwy as my wife is unable to run if anybody would like it. I am afraid I am unable to offer transport as my car is now full with runners and cakeThumpUp
