Last year was the only hot July i remember for some years..........it will probably be raining and windy for this! Think i will enter as nice to have that distance to keep fit for over the summer months when i deviate away from running towards tennis. Plus it is good timimg for those doing autumn marathons.
Do we know who is orgainising it, the same group as the Swansea 10k - is it likely to be well organised?

The Wales Half Marathon in mid-July last year was toasty. It was 29C an hour before the midday start time. Hopefully it'll be a little cooler for the Wales Marathon (and the Swansea Half) this year.

I'm trying to find out more details about the event ~ I should have some on Sunday at the relays.
No it isn't being organised by the Swansea Bay 10k team ~ the Council organise that. This Half Marathon is being organised by 2 guys who are runners but have no experience of organising a race/event.

I believe registration for this opened today - though still awaiting details of the course. - hopefully the link I'm attaching works.... Swansea Half Note the 8:30am start time - better in terms of the summer sun but not so good for those of us who enjoy a weekend lie-in!

have entered, may as well give it a go so i know how much work needs to be done before the Cardiff Half!
If anyone else enters and want to car share let me know.......though my car isn't very big.

I am doing this race & have a couple of spaces in my car for other runners should any other members require a lift. It is an 8.30am race start so we will leave the club early, time tbc. Just let me know if you need a lift........

I am also running this but I believe my wife and kids want to come up for the ride as well.. Although I would be awazed if they managed to be out of the house at a reasonable time.
If they decide against it I can either drive or hop into a car share as well.

Dam! My holiday starts on the 20th and I wouldn't have minded having a go at that seeing as the last three I did were biblical disasters! If anybody decides they want to pull out I will buy their place.

I have been given a number but they wont let me transfer it. I think its pointless running when your time wont count for anything and you could get a ban from the race.
