After a weekend full of controversy, I think it's about time for some good news. Martin Rees celebrated his 62nd birthday last Saturday. He no doubt didn't do too much celebrating, because he had a big race on Sunday at the Bath Half Marathon. Finishing 36th in 73:22, he sliced 3 minutes and 17 seconds from Mike Hager's world age 62 best. Nothing new there, as you can see below. These are the current single age world bests for Men age 40-62. Martin now holds 10 of them. Is that class or what?

Mick, I'm assuming the second date is the date of the race/date the record was set. At first I thought it was the athlete's date of birth, but if that was the case it would say March for Martin? It gives both Feb and Sept dates in 1953. Is he like the Queen with two birthdays? Thanks.
