I think that should be the 21st Mike?

Do you know what time they will accept entries until?

I'm quite interested in doing the 3000m but would struggle to get there much before 6:30.

Thanks Ed. I don't know where I got that from but .... your date makes sense.
I could enter you when I get there and give you your number when you arrive. It would be great to see you there.

Ed I'm sure you'll be fine for the 3000 if you arrive at 6.30.
Many people will have a distance to travel. At least it should stay warm and give you some good conditions.
Good luck everyone!

I've changed my mind Mick. Now planning an attempt on my impressive 800m PB of 2:17.

Interesting move, Ed.
Spoke to Oli yesterday about the track event and he's thinking of making an appearance.
Hope to see a few more attack their PB or even just explore their potential.

Great thinking Ed. The warmer it is, the greater the potential for the short stuff.
I signed off last year's track season with an 800 - in 2:39.
Unfortunately, my first ever track race, in 1967 when I was 11, was also over 800 when I ran 2:34.
But it's the intent that matters.
Even Stephen Kiprotich showed last Saturday that if you can change pace you can win races.
I don't recommend the weaving though!

Here are Eirian's and Mike's updates:

Without counting the scores I am confident that Les Croupiers Ladies has won the League meeting again tonight. Claire Beatty won the W35 3000m and there were also contributions in that age group from Michelle Rivett and Joanne Tucker. Tina Rossiter made her debut in the W50/M80 400m and also ran the 100m. Eirian also scored.
The 4*200m relay team of Eirian, Jo, Michelle and Claire kept Norman G Nome.
For the men Mike Davies, Mel James and Mal Farnham competed in the M60 group and Huw Evans won the M35 3000m. Ollie Williams took part as a guest in some high quality races. Good to see him there.

August 21, 2013 at 11:44 PM | Eirian Arwyn

Excellent night's racing - slight breeze but the rain kept off. Results to follow but .... unofficially- Huw Evans - 9:20 ish (3000m), Claire Beatty - 11:10 SB (3000m), Kevin Jones 11:29 (30000m)..... Impressive form from Oli Williams in the 100m.......
Spikes needed for next season......
Congratulations to the ladies' team for winning the league for the ....... ? time? and retaining the gnome for us.

It was a lovely evening watching all the events. Great performances all around, particularly Claire and Huw dominating their 3,000 metres races. Great stuff!!

It may be worth speaking to Eirian about this, Oliver or directly to Sue Hooper.
