Will be looking forward to running this after the disappointment of missing out this year. I think the organisers have handled it brilliantly.
Sounds like a great event!

I was wondering though that this could make it really hard or even impossible for people not already registered this year to get a place, so if thats you it could be worth looking into it.

I cant wait to actually run a Half after spending the whole year training for one! Smile (Wokingham,Llanelli and Sheffield all missed)

Wokingham Half Marathon 2015 - 8th February, 10:00am

Dear Runner

Thanks again for all the kind comments we received after the cancellation of the 2014 race due to serious flooding on the course. We are pleased to confirm that all entries will be automatically carried over to the 2015 race, however, please check your name and category are correct on our website's Entries page. If there are any amendments and/or your postal address has changed please let us know.

There is no need to re-register as you will all receive new race packs in January 2015.

On Wokingham HM's website there is a link to email the organisers to go on the waiting list for places. Anyone interested should do that. The number of places will be limited though because all 2014 entries were deferred to the 2015 race. I'm going to try to get a place. It's a very-nearly flat course, with minimal twists and turns, though as it's early in the season the weather is likely to be bad.

NB: also clashes with a Gwent League fixture

this is just getting silly..

races with waiting lists ballots, races filling up in 20 minutes.. wokingham is hardly round the corner either..

llanelli is a decent race.. a bit of you see what you get.. but well run flat.. some wind..(but that can be the beans too)..shelter near the start too..one to consider.. lots of croups do this one too..

Hi James,
Wokingham is full earlier than usual because it was cancelled last year and all entries were automatically transferred. However, I do think that every race should be obliged to keep one space for me in case I decide I want to do it. :-)
