The river Wye is bursting its banks and I gather rain has been very heavy. I'm getting mixed reports on conditions on Saturday, it looks like it will be unlikely to rain and be between 1 and 6 degrees with possible mist and fog. It should be cloudy with some sun or sunny. I'm concerned the "technical" course could be waterlogged and also wondered if there have been any road closures. Any news would be appreciated.

It's likely the event will still go ahead, although they might if anything need to make some change to the course Lyndon. I have not heard anything to say it's been cancelled to date.

Don't mind them changing the course as long as its shorter!

Thanks for the offer Lyndon but there is a masters race at 11.45 so I will make my own way up so that I can be there by 11.00. I will be probably be well on my way home by the time you are running your race.

I would like to thank Dave Coles for lending me his shirt. I can put the £15 I saved towards another set of spikes if mine don't turn up!

Claire, because the Masters Men's regional and Club Team's competition begin at 40+. WA decided to award the individual over 35 Males their medals within the Senior Race, to comply with the UKA rules. There are no team awards though. Please check up on not receiving the Women's over 45 bronze medals, as the Men's were awarded. I have received the Men's o/40 and o/50 Silver medals, to bring to the club on Thursday.

There were medals for the top 8 (I think it was) in the South Wales team as we won. There was also medals for the first 3 Vet 35 finishers. I was disappointed not to get a team medal but it was a nice consolation to be 3rd vet. Well done to everyone who ran it and congratulations to everybody who won medals, a good haul for the club! I'm not sure why the women's over 45 wouldn't get a bronze?I think I would query that.
