To my first Marathon! I just booked my place in the Manchester Marathon today!  Almost £60 though! Blimey these Marathons are not cheap.  It really gives me something to hold onto though! Every day is going to be about keeping and getting fit towards that now. I have put it off loads of times so I'm going to do my best to make my first one special. I paid a bit extra to get my name and time on my medal but I think they are going to need to get me a bigger medal to fit my name on it! Quite a few Croups runners have now booked on this race. Let's hope we can all get to the start line in one piece and then make it to the finish ……….

I'll race you to the finish Lyndon!  It should be a good trip with all the Croups going. I'd advise you to book accommodation asap as I found it difficult to get a place nearby. I eventually ended up with the Holiday Inn in Media CitY (1 mile from the start).
