Ladies and gents,
I know this is very, very early and that Snowdonia Marathon is almost a year away (**EDIT, 2015 race is on Saturday 24th October**), however getting accomodation near the event date can be troublesome. Because of this I have contacted Pete's Eats and they have agreed to hire out the whole place to us.

That means we can have exclusive access to 8 bunks in the bunkhouse and 2 twin rooms for the princely sum of £370 in total for both nights (Friday and Saturday night).

Thats a little under £31 for a bed for 2 nights within a few hundred meters of the start line and practically at the finish line.

It's not the most glamourous of accomodation but it is clean and comfortable with a big TV / Kitchen / lounge area and a great cafe underneath. Everything the new / accomplished marathon runner would want in accomodation.

I am definitely going back next year. If you want in on the Pete's Eat's party just let me know and I will reserve you a place.

Payment does not have to be made until a little over a month away from the marathon date as if we let them know we will be short of runners to fill the beds with a months notice they can re-sell them easily. After that, all required accomodation will have to be paid for.

I will update this post as people take the beds so we know what is available but it if gets lost due to the race being almost a year away I will repost it

Hi Marcus, I was thinking of trying this next year . Is it possible for myself and my Husband Mark to reserve two places- ideally in a twin room but no worries if that is not possible. Thanks for thinking of this so far ahead . Sue.

I hope they'll fix the shower and toilet as well as having more toilet paper. I haven't decded yet for next year. But a good idea Marcus.

Ladies and gents,
The date of Snowdonia Marathon Eryri has been announced and for once it is not on the last Saturday of October. Instead it is the week before.

I had covered this possibility with Pete's Eat's previously so there should be no issue with having hte accomodation. Therefore the revised dates are:

Friday 23rd October
Saturday 24th October

Entry for the marathon opens at 00:01 on 01 January 2015. Last year all places were sold out within 2 weeks and whilst there were steady drop outs througout the year it got increasingly difficult to get a place to stay the closer to the date it got so take advantage of the accomodation available!

Oh bottoms! I had quite a hard job persuading my other half that it was fine for me to run it on our wedding anniversary (31st), I stand no chance at all of persuading him that I can do it now, as that would mean driving from Llanberis to London to get to the concert he's bought tickets for. Argh.

Ladies and gents, we are approaching the time that I need to confirm the spaces required at Pete's Eats. I have emailed Petes Eats to confirm the booking and await their reply. I will also confirm the cost but as previously stated it is expected to be £32 (total) for the weekend.

I have now had confirmation from Pete's Eat's that all is good for our booking from Friday 23rd until Sunday 25th October for the Snowdonia Marathon.

I will need payment from everyone on the list above by Sunday September 6th to hand over payment to them.

We have 1 bed left if anyone wants to attend as well. If so, see me to add your name to the list before the end of August otherwise I will have to tell them that they can sell that extra bed.
