I haven't seen this until today as its a bit before my time but I'm sure its as incredible to watch now as it was then. If you could sum up what a gutsy and well executed run looks like I cant see how you could do any better than this! Truly sensational! All I can work out is that it was the Brussels 10km in 1983. Presumably it was the World Championships.

Certainly wasn't the World Champs - first edition of which was in 1983 in Helsinki.
Most likely the Ivo Van Damme Memorial Meeting - not too many 10000 metres races around on the track - then or now - and Brussels was always full of distance races.
