Hi All
I'm once again looking for help on the Cardiff Half Marathon this year, I'm looking for cyclists to ride with the leading runners, I'm also looking for marshals and section leaders on the course - we are going to try and set this up a bit better this year.
What I'm really looking for are people who help at the Cardiff Half Marathon in 2014 & 2015, and then at the World Championships in March 2016 - we want to use the CHM 2014 + 2015 to make sure everything is good for the WC 2016 and having people working the same roles that they are familiar with will help things run as smoothly as possible, especially as the WC 2016 will be going out LIVE on TV.

Happy to help this year and the next few years too. I would love to be a cycle marshal, but would do whatever you need.

Phil, will help out. If poss same as last year, section leader at first water station, Penarth road, short walk from my house.

Hi Phil,
I can help out this year. Don't really mind what duties as long as its not pacing the elites!
Not sure about the next two years. I'll probably want to run it again next year.

Hi Phil,
I am free to help.
Last year I was marshalling on the roundabout in the middle of Roath Park, just before mile 12. Happy to go there again, quite enjoyed it.

Hi Phil - marshalling duty for me again.
Year before last was at Sloper Road / Penarth Road junction @ 2 miles and finish line, but happy to do anything / go anywhere - have bike will travel.

Thanks to everyone who said they can help with the Cardiff Half - I've been a bit busy of late trying to find a new job!! Anyway, I hope to confirm roles in the next couple of days

There is a volunteers evening being held at the Cardiff International Sports Stadium on Tuesday at 6.30pm (refreshments from 6.00pm) it would be great if you could come along and find out some of the details that are needed during the event, this will be followed by a chat with myself and Steve Brace when we'll be able to give you greater details with regards to your responsibilities on the day. It's nice to now know who G-Man is, full name only please when using the forum, how are new members going to now who's who, and in this case an old-ish member. If you must have a handle please put your name after it,under it, or even over it.

Just to prove the point, I was also known as "G-man" or "G" when I worked down in Cardiff Bay. (Hope my name comes up as there are also 2 Gerry C's in club if you count Jerry C-H!)
