Entries are now open to club members for this year’s ‘Race of Truth’.
It will be held on 14 August and the format is the same as previous years:
* The event is a 5k individual road time trial
Start: At the lay-by on the spine road about 200 metres NW of Equestrian Centre gate.
Follow the spine road past the riding school, Cricket ground and Sports Centre.
50 metres before the Cowbridge Road gate take the diagonal path to the left.
Turn sharp left at the river path and follow this path past the Millennium Bridge, Sports Centre and the cricket ground.
At Blackweir Bridge turn left and take the path across the playing fields.
At the spine road turn right.
The finish is at the same location as the start – please finish on the right hand side of the path.
* Pre-entries get a seeded start and get placed into a ‘mystery’ team. There is a team prize!
* Runners start at 30 second intervals
* First runner starts at 6:30pm
* Entry fee is £3 – which includes a drink at the bar afterwards. It would be easier for me if you can pay before the event. I will be at the club every Thursday (except 10 July).
* Pre-entries close on 31 July
* Numbers, start list and team membership will be available on 7 August.
* If you can’t run there are jobs for volunteers – volunteers also get a drink!
