The Welsh Masters' League will be holding its second meeting of the season at Jenner Park on Thursday, 29th May 2014. We, as a club, have been asked to provide the officials for the evening and consequently need volunteers to ensure that the evening runs smoothly. Rhondda AC will provide the officials for the Shot and Javelin.

We need 1 x Event Director, ! Referee, 3 x Registration Officials, 2 x officials (HJ/LJ).
The Registration Officials and Event Director need to be there by 17:45 and the others by 18:00.

If you can help then please let me know.
I should be at SSAFA tomorrow and the club on Thursday night.

Time Track Time Field
19:00 1500m 18:45 Shot W/ Javelin M
19:20 100m 18:45 High Jump
19:40 3000m 19:45 Javelin W/ Shot M

This is a win win situation. Not only do you get to visit one of the original Seven Wonders of The World (They were going to put the Statue of Zeus here instead of Olympia - the sculptor couldn't afford transport costs !!!!!!) but you also don't have the threat of running, or even worse counting, 161 laps !!!!!!!

This is an opportunity for you City folk to actually visit somewhere interesting.

Do it.

Mike, I can't make it........... I'm washing my hair

You'll be missed, Evatt.

Hair? I put mine in the washing machine. Simple.

I didn't want to go too far with my mention of ... hush .....Jenner Park...

I think Barry and Vale AC may get a mention ... Get the vests out.

Tracey you're better off stopping at Cadoxton Station and walking up the hill (Gladstone Road).
You must know what Leckwith track looks like. Well it's 100 times better than that.

I want to do the 1500M but am free after that to help out with any events.

I understand that the colossus at Rhodes was originally meant to go on the Knap, but the stonemasons got the delivery address wrong.

Hi Mike, i'll be there for this plus two young helpers i think [half term!] will hope to run at least one race too - 1500 or 3k.

Ok to do event director if you like but will need support as need to have half an eye on girls,
Rob

So, 15 hours ago you needed a lift. 2 hours ago you wanted to be EVENT Director (Joint).

That's some promotion. You've gone from Private Dias to Field Marshall (pardon the pun) Dias in 13 hours !!!!!!!

You are incredible my friend !!!!!! Lol.

Anyone can run, but to count for the club in the team competition you have to be a paid up (in advance) member of Welsh masters.

It will be good to see you there Roy. We need some speedsters in the 100m - Mel's getting too quick.

It would also be a great help if you could assist with the some of the officiating ....that's not one of the field events.
What time can you make it to the track? We still need a few more bodies to help the timekeeper(s).

At the moment, we have:
Rob Sage (Race Director) + two little helpers
Andrew Sedgmond (Referee)
Alan Mason (jumps)
Sue Hoare (jumps)
Rhondda (Registration)
Dave Hodges - are you available?
Timekeepers? Spotters?

I'm not certain that I'll be back from N. Wales in time.

Hi Mike, really sorry but my family half term plans have had to change and i'm no longer available for Thursday. Very sorry to let you down at short notice. prob best to count me out of any masters track events for this year. I'm sure you'll find other willing helpers to cover the evening.

Sorry, Michelle and I can't make it because of travelling.
Are UKIP running? They did okay over there running for election and they're definitely old enough.

Mike, I can come over instead of doing the club run if you want.

However I finish work at 6 and won't be able to get there until 7 i guess as I have to get home, pick up the car and get there.

I could bring the wife and kids for support though.

If these timings work for you just let me know.

Marcus.

I will be there to run and can help out after my race if that is any good. This is a great introduction to the track so why not forgo the club run for one week and come and experience a new running event ( and for those used to the track dust of your spikes and grace the hallowed turf of jenner park!)
