Hi All A few local fell races in February.. SAT 15 - Pen Tir Drop at 2pm from Cwmdu Hall, Cwndu near Crickhowell and costs £3. You run/ walk....5km/ 350m or 3.1m/1148ft climb, and get a hot drink and biscuits for your efforts(*) ...Katie Beecher holds the female record - 36.12!! SAT 22 - Hatterall Hammer at 2pm from Old Pandy Inn, Hereford Rd (A465), Pandy, Abergavenny, NP7 8DR and costs £4 You run/ walk.... 6.6km/ 330m or 4.1m/ 1080ft climb This is a new race, so records need setting More information can be found on the Welsh Fell Runners Association website http://www.wfra.me.uk/ or on the South Wales Summer and Winter Hill Series facebook page. cheers S

Hatterall Hammer. Very good little fell race in the classic format. Start near a pub in a field, run up a hill, round the trig point, down the hill and go to the pub. Good turnout with Katie Beecher first lady and respectable mid pack runs by Simon Hazel, John Magee and me. Thanks to Nicola and Roy for support and dog minding.

Yep totally agree Richard....lovely race, great pub, company and always a bonus a plate of chips and sandwiches all thrown in as part of the race entry!!
