Unfortunately, the race has been called off due to flooding on the course. The below has been taken from their website...
7.2.14 15:30. We are sorry to announce that Sunday’s race has been cancelled due to flooding on the course, this is 8 inches deep, still rising and is overflowing from the ditches Please return your timing chip in it’s prepaid envelope directly to Sport Systems.
7.2.14 Further Flooding on course that may lead to the cancellation of the race, a decision will be made by 4 pm. Emails will be sent to all entrants.

Gutted I have been planing to do this for 3 months! Had a hotel booked by the start line too just cancelled it. Still some people have much worse to contend with.

Same here Lyndon. Did you get a full refund for the hotel?
There are still places in the Llanelli Half I believe, but Newport is sold out

I rang the Hotel and cancelled and they seemed fine with it. I was a couple of hours over the deadline though.
Better put in for Llanelli, ironically I was concerned with doing that because of the weather. Its a bit hit and miss usually.
The plus side is I have more time to improve.

Nice one James! I cant see this one being called off but there is a high probability of poor conditions! I think its either going to be perfect or awful. If its perfect its got PB potential, if its awful it could be a real challenge! Im thinking of doing Tewkesbury too, one of them is bound to be reasonable. Im always off form for Cardiff. Im definitely a Winter runner, I seem to thrive in it. I haven't done the new Llanelli course from the stadium. Does anyone know what its like?
