Very much doubt I'll make it. If I am, I'll be there in plenty of time. Thanks. Good luck to everyone running.

Rather stupidly, I seem to have mislaid my race number - is it possible to get a replacement number tomorrow? Sorry to be a nuisance, have searched everywhere but can't find it.

Having measured the course this afternoon there is an amendment to the new course, so below is a description of the course for the morning :

Start at Llandaff Fields on the main path just up from the Oval. Run up through the park towards Western Ave., take right turn at the cross roads - this will take you past the playground and around to the car park. Keep right and pass through the car park and out onto Penhill (opposite the Half Way Pub), turn right and run up Penhill to the traffic lights and turn right - this will take you past Churchills (1 mile) and Howells School. At The Crescent turn right which will bring you out opposite the Rugby Club, continue along Western Ave and turn right onto the Spine Road in Pontcanna Fields - past the Stables. Turn left along the cross path (2 miles is just before this), and run towards Blackweir Bridge, turn right and follow the river passing the back of the SWALEC Stadium (3 miles). Turn left over the Millennium Bridge, when you reach the Bute Park side take the second path and run towards the College of Music and Drama (as if you were doing parkrun), continue around until you reach the cross roads, go straight across and follow the path right the way to the parkrun Start/Finish. Just before Western Ave you will reach the grass triangle at the bottom of the steps - this is the turning point, keep to the left and head towards the steps, then turn right and right ~ now retrace your steps exactly until you reach the Start/Finish in Llandaff Fields.

Well done to everyone who ran today, but huge thanks to all the team for great organisation as always, and for all the encouragement from the fantastic (and probably freezing cold) marshals around the course. Best club on the planet!

Great event as always.
A handicap is only as good as the organisation.
So first up - another brilliant job by Jeff Aston.
Well done to the runners who gave their all, but especially thank you to all the volunteers.
The runners were warm (for most of the time) - the marshalls probably weren't.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to another hugely entertaining and enjoyable AGM, and to Lynn and all the staff for looking after us.

I loved this event, well organised and thoroughly enjoyable! I will be looking forward to doing this again.

Thanks James you are a top bloke and a gentleman. Im convinced that gap will narrow as time goes on. You had a good go today.

Thankyou to the organisers and the Marshals for donating their time to make this happen! BigGrin

I'll add my thanks to Jeff ( are the results ready yet - you've had 6 hours), the shivering marshals, time keepers and measurers. The new course is just about perfect and will tempt me back to tarmac next year.

Same here, great event again, marshalling spot on as always and well done to all the runners who took to the course today especially hitting that nasty hail shower during the run. I had a great battle against Mick today and I thank him loads as he really did help me to keep going as I felt I was going to fade at any point after around 7 miles or so, I probably would not have done the time I did if I was not lined up against him at the start. What was Lyndon like today, did you have a fiery Vindaloo or something last night, you were flying, much respect there too, you must have done 60 - 61 minutes, I will be very interested to find out.

If anyone came across a black long sleeved running top after the adventures of Sunday, it's probably mine... I may have dropped it somewhere. If anyone found it, I'd love to be re-united. Thanks a lot. Tim

I enjoyed watching the handicap 10 on Sunday, from the half-way point. It was good to see Mick M, Sandy J, Des D, Terry C, Paul M and Howard K still going strong after all these years. It almost makes me want to get the old daps out again!

and Jeff A! Sorry, I did give you a shout, near half-way, though forgot to mention you in the post. You're all looking enviably fit.
