With the exception of my runs, I'm finding the sedentary nature of lockdown days and home working are counterproductive for my legs! It's like going from one extreme to the other in every 24hr cycle. I was therefore thinking about picking up a foam roller in the next few weeks to help with my recoveries in between runs. I was wondering if any experienced hands could offer me some advice on a couple of points. Specifically, is there any difference in quality between different models and does this actually matter? Age old question - does size matter?! Lastly, are there specific good/recommended resources for exercises to do with them?!

Martin, I'm not sure I can offer any advice as to whether there is any difference between different models, however in terms of the best way to use them I normally have a look at You Tube, usually by searching foam roller and the area that I wish to focus on, e.g. "foam roller hamstrings". I also find James Dunne's videos very useful (not just for the foam roller exercises, he has a lot of videos on strengthening and stretching, well worth a look).
