Here is a list I have of those who have kindly offered to volunteer at the Handicap 10 on 2 February.

Annie Conroy
Elio Lepore
John Griffin
Karen Chadwell
Ian Bell
Paul Morris
Steve Owen
Des Davies
Ben Farag
Ron Evans
Martin Pinnell
Gerard Campbell
Mia Goddard
Phil Cook
Mike Davies
Mel James
Claire George
Nicky Mason

Some of you will be aware of what I would like you to do.

Before I detail the rest of the duties I would be grateful if you could let me know whether or not you will have a bicycle and whether you have a hi-viz jacket or bib. Bibs will be available at the start/finish.

I will need 2 people to run the water station at the parkrun start/finish. Water will be available for collection at the handicap start.
If you have a vehicle available in which you can collect the water and get to the parkrun start, please contact me as well.

If there are any further offers of help please reply on this thread.

Many thanks

Jeff

Hi Jeff. Ian has a bike and a high vis jacket. He’s not so familiar with the route once we go beyond parkrun so would rather go somewhere between the start and the bridge under Western Ave if possible. He’s happy to go further up the course, but would need good directions!

Hi Jeff
I will collect a hi-viz from you Sunday morning. I’m happy to hand out bottles/cups at the water station, but can't carry anything heavy or awkward, as I have arthritis in my hand.

Hi Jeff, Ian asked me to let you know that he will cycle straight to his marshalling position (Millennium Bridge). He has a high vis vest so does not need to collect one at the start. He’ll be there by 8:10 which should be in plenty of time for the first runners going through. Hope this is OK?

Yes, a big thankyou to everyone who helped out today, and kept us going ! And to Jeff for sorting it all out (though I needed an extra couple of minutes on my start time Jeff!)
Thanks as well to everyone who contributed to the AGM. A good day out😊!

Huge thanks to all of today's volunteers and of course to Jeff for organising the whole thing - By my shoddy maths I was within 8 seconds of my predicted time, (giving me a 3 min PB) I don't know how he does it!

Yes -thanks to all who made this happen today. Once I got running I loved it (it's definitely the most nervous I get before a race, even more than my first marathon in December!). A fabulous morning out. BigGrin
