There was a kind of inevitability about this really.
Over the Christmas period attendance at Cardiff parkrun went through the roof.
As per announcements last Thursday for the real runners of you who managed to come in - 921 on Christmas Day followed by 806 on New Years day.
And this morning, benign conditions saw another 900+ attendance.
But it's not just the quantity, it's also the quality.
So congratulations to Charlotte Arter, whose 15:50 this morning took out the parkrun all-time record of Hannah Walker which had stood for five and a half years.
The outright record for men is 13:48 by Andy Baddeley - a tougher task but definitely do-able by the right athlete in the right conditions.
Any takers anyone?
