A bit of nostalgia for our members (especially the older ones). Not many of you will have run cross country here before - there has only been one previous Gwent League at Tredegar - on 7 February 1998. Twenty years ago we were the defending league champions and were winning virtually every Gwent League team title. So who were our runners then? First up, the course designer for Tredegar in 1998 was Phil Cook, then a member of Cardiff AAC, and he finished 4th. Our 5 male scorers were: John Cox 9th, Richie Bullen 10th, Geran Hughes 17th, Simon Nurse 20th and Julian Baker 24th. 324 ran. For our ladies, Wendy Edwards was 6th, Edwina Turner 9th, Caris Wynne 14th, Liz Clarke 17th and Nina Aas 19th. Also Ann James, now with us, running for Rhondda was 12th. There were 112 ladies running, so this section has grown significantly. Some things don't change though. It was muddy.
