A reminder not only to BAKE cake and bring your cash along to EAT cake next Thursday (15th) but also there's still time to NOMINATE A CHARITY for the proceeds of the Bake Off. The usual guideline is that meaningful to a club member or has significance to the club/community. You can post your nomination here, or contact a committee member. If you're not sure who to speak to, a list of committee members can be found here: http://www.lescroupiersr...b.org.uk/club-committee/

(Kate R's post on Facebook 06/10/18: Our annual cake competition will be held on Thursday 15th November after usual club training in the clubhouse (8:30-9pm). Everyone has the chance to donate, bake, taste. The winner will be announced on the night and be presented with a prize!! There isn’t a theme for the bakes. )

Just to note we currently have four charities nominated:

Breast Centre, Velindre Hospital
Jacob Abraham Foundation for Suicide Awareness
The charities that were being supported by the two men who died at this year's Cardiff Half Marathon: Dean Fletcher was raising money for life-changing research into neuroscience and mental health, Ben MCDonald's family set up donations to a midwifery unit in Africa. We'd have to do some research to find out exact details for these.

From Kate R:

It’s nearly cake time!
So for tomorrow, please bring your home made cakes to the club tomorrow so that we can all taste & pick our favourite. It would be very helpful if you could label your cakes so that it is easier for people to vote for yours and distinguish your cake from others. More than one person often make the same type of cake.

Please can you bring some cash for the privilege of tasting all the amazing cakes? We have decided to donate the money raised by our kind members equally between Tina Rossiter & Mike Rossiter’s nominates charity, the breast cancer centre at llandough Hospital, and Sarah Meah’s nominates charity, the Jacob suicide prevention charity. Both are extremely important charities personally for Tina, Mike & Sarah and this is why they were chosen by the committee. So please be as generous as you are able. Thank you.

Good luck!
