Thanks for the query Gab. As a WA member you are eligible to compete.

I've checked with WA a few minutes ago and they (Adam) confirmed that we are affiliated to WA for Track and Field but not as part of the the league. Consequently, we will not be expected to provide representatives to assist event officials and will not be eligible for the reduced fee.

However, this may be an opportunity for some of our members to gain additional experience by assisting at such an event (Report to Field Referee on the day.)

There doesn't seem to be a method of online entry, so it is entry on the day.

Hope that you (and others) can make it.

Delighted that we had representatives at the meeting and in particular the 3000m.

I suspect that conditions were not particularly favourable?

Mike, conditions were fine. Our fellow competitors were unfavourable: Too young, too fit and too fast.

Maybe, Dave, but the quickest way to improve is compete against athletes who are too young, too fit and too fast. Good on all of you for having a go!
I ran in James Thie's "Met Miles" recently, and the winner of my race was 12! I always see it as an honour to still be able to compete against the athletes of tomorrow.

It's also good for the 'youngsters" to try and stay ahead...

Great to see our club members not intimidated by the track.

Can someone please explain why I wasn't placwd? I think I was the oldest runner. Here's hoping the masters track and field league will be back next year! I missed track
