Unfortunately sorting out the results from SSAFA Race 1 has proved traumatic and we don't have a 100% accurate set of results. Therefore I'm afraid we can't add them to the database or include them for short course championships.
If you are taking part in SSAFA Race 2 or 3 please be aware that the same situation may happen again. Paul Chapman and I spent time, effort and energy in getting corrections after the first race and I don't think we'll be repeating that experience again.
I'm afraid we are likely to recommend that SSAFA not be included in short course championships for 2019.

I'm not surprised Amanda. Tonight's race had 155 finishers, down from 220 last month. Results have been promised on Saturday. It'll be interesting to see if tonight's SSAFA results get produced before the 800 approx. finishers from Saturday's parkrun.

Yes they are, Andrew. At least of sorts. I pointed out Blair Batcombe on Wednesday night (Andy Blair lives at Batcombe House). But it still appeared in print. If this were a school report, at the very least, it would read "Can do better".

Sorry folks but there are issues again with the results of SSAFA race 3. So for now, we cannot use them.

Thanks, Amanda. The organisers obviously didn't read their school report from last month. However, I can confirm the highlights from the Race Presentation on Wednesday night: Croups award winners from Race 3: Tamara Beach - second lady Jenny Martin - first F35 Claire Jacobs - first F40 Maria Zubizarreta - first F45 Rich Baker - first M45 Jeff Cox - first M55 Elio Lepore - first M60
Croups award winners for the series (you have to have completed all 3 races) Claire Jacobs - 3rd lady Jenny Martin - first F35 Gabby Green - first F45 (Gabby I have your prize in my car) Glyn Fletcher - 3rd man Rich Baker - first M45 Andy Blair - first M50 Jeff Cox - first M55 David Walker - first M60
Well done everyone. That concluded the 20th series - 60 races in all. So a quiz question for you - who is the holder of the slowest winning time for SSAFA? Answer - Jerome Edwards of course - I feel sure that gem of information will filter through on Facebook. Jerome - we miss you!
