First Track Event 11:00 am. This is a joint meeting with WMAA Events: 100m 200m 400m 800m 1500m 5000m shortH longH 5km walk LJ HJ TJ PV SP DT JT HT Age groups: Men and Women. 5 year age bands from 35 to 100+. Eligibility: MMAC/WMAA members. Other BMAF members accepted as guests. UKA Registration mandatory Fees: £10 first event, £4 each additional event Prizes: Medals for first three MMAC finishers in each age category provided medal standard achieved. As it is a shared Championship, there are Welsh Masters medals awarded to our first three finishers also. (subject to WMAA standards)
We could not guarantee any British, European or World records, by organising our own champs, as there is a shortage of the correct graded officials in Wales, that is why we decided to join in with the Midlands. We are finding difficulties with our league also.
Nuneaton will have photo-finish and electronic measuring and will also be more competitive in each age group.

Mel, are you able to say what's happening with the Welsh Masters league events this year? No dates on their website.

We have a meeting this evening to discuss this. There is a problem with Welsh officials attendance and we need to have the correct graded officials to enable results to be accepted for records and Power of 10. We got around this by using photo-finish in Cardiff, but this is not available to us this season. There is the possibility of Brecon, Swansea and Newport, which I hope we can secure for some sort of competition, but the problem is not easy to solve.

Just wondering if anyone else is doing this and if you want to share lifts? I have entered the 1500m and 5000m which are towards the end of the day.
