Only two of the prescribed races remain in the Long Course Championships.

First up -
Richard Burton 10k, 5th November, Cwmafon, 11am. Registration at the rugby club.

Anybody up for a car share/lift?

Meet at the club at 8:45am. Parking can me an issue but tea/coffee available at registration. Entry on the day can be problematic.


richard Burton 10k 2017

The course loops the southern approach of Cwmafon and heads up the valley, crosses the viaduct (made famous in a picture of Richard Burton with his father) before plummeting back to Cwmafon. Spectacular views down the valley add to the experience. Be warned, the final flat run in along the main road is ..... quite demanding (long) but well worth the effort.

Huge community involvement and support.

Cake usually available after the race (Tim O).

Just joined the club? Give it a go - wide range of ability competing.

Both myself and my wife Claire have entered this race and are really looking forward to it.

Good to see such a positive response.

Just a reminder that ....It's wise to get there early because parking can be an issue. Entry on the day can also be tiresome with lengthy queues or entry limit reached prior to race day.
