Hope everyone has had a good run tonight!

Bitterly disapointed I could not run but wouldn't feel comfortable running for a bus at the moment! Hope to recover from illness in a few days. Mentioned to a few of the guys who were going.

A slight variation in the track events for this meeting with the 1500m on the track first.

Unfortunately, we were unable to field a team for the 4 x 100m relay at Leckwith(Injuries) but can we raise a team for the 4 x 400m at Newport?

At the moment, we have two members eager to form a full team - Keiron McDonnell and Mike Davies. Anybody else interested?

Mike, did you say teams could be mixed? If so I'm happy to give the relay a go if you need to make up numbers (hopefully you'll have offers from quicker runners though as I'm considerably slower than you and Kieran!)

Mike

Hopefully will be able to make it next week and maybe a few others. Can the relay team be mixed age categories or do they have same age category

Thanks Jenny, Steve and Liz for your support. I'm sure that we'll get the baton around.

Teams can be mixed (Age/Gender) and include guests but I'm sure that all newcomers will enjoy it, at least after the event.

I'm meeting Mal Farnham at Taffs Well Station at 5pm, if you need a car share.

You're most welcome, Steve.

Meet you at Taffs Well Station at 5pm?

Room for at least one more.

We've also got enough committed runners for at least one relay team.

Thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

Conditions were good but the entry numbers were down. We had seven Les Croupiers members competing - Claire Bruce, Jenny Martin, Steve Preddy (debutant), Scott Browne, Keiron McDonnell, Mal Farnham and Mike Davies. Thanks to Mel James for his help in officiating and for the considerable support provided by John Martin.

Congratulations to Mal Farnham for winning his age group in the Javelin and coming second in the 100m. I believe that Mal has been our LC Javelin Champion (M60+) for quite some time now.

Unfortunately, results usually take some time to be published but I'm sure that others have also done well in their respective age groups.

Our 4 x 400m team (Claire Bruce, Steve Preddy, Keiron McDonnell and Scott Browne romped home first in 4:36 to cap an excellent evening of running and throwing.

The next WMAA event will be indoors at Cardiff Met in January 2018.

Hope you keep your calendar clear......
