Just heard that the Roman Run will take place again this year, on 2 September.

its a wonderful event..

surely it could go back on the club champs in some form.. long course or off road

It was taken off the off road championships some years ago now as there's only about 6 miles off road (the remaining 9 miles on road) so hardly appropriate. As for the long course championships, that's an 'all road' category.

For those who haven't done this race, the poor condition of the 'Roman Road' means it can be quite treacherous underfoot.
