Had a dire few weeks but will be aiming for 36 minutes today, not too confident though! Got to stop the rot! Its a blooming hot day and I think I should have brought some sun cream. Think I will strip off last minute! Should be quite a good turnout. Look forward to seeing a few Croups here soon!

Blimey it is 20 Celsius, think 37 might be more sensible now! That is twice the ideal temperature!

Tough conditions today! Had a real battle with the leading lady Clara but managed to get passed her on the last km. 36.29 which I am happy with given the course and conditions! 26 seconds off my pb so happy! Well done to everyone who ran today! Well done to Clara for winning and thanks to Daniel Luffman for the sun tan lotion! Edited by user 18 June 2017 10:01:20(UTC)

Well done to everypne who ran Caerphilly it was certainty tough! I have done Caerphilly since it started and I have to say this one was the hottest ever! It was nice to see some past members there supportting and taking part. If you didn't get a PB or the time you wanted don't worry the important thing today was that you finished. There will be others, Richard Burton entries are now open, and hopefuly not so hot! A special well done to all our 5k plus runners who ran today. It was a great atmostphere and the suppporters were realy good with extra water and hose pipes. Thanks for the cap Mick it came in handy today!

Thanks, Tracey. Those members with long enough memories will remember the Barry Carnival 10 km each July - the weather was like this all the time.

I remember the early Cardiff marathons that went to Barry and back. They handed out sun cream at the Barry water stations and gloves on the approach to Cardiff. The good old days. Am I right Mick lol..
