I have been given a pair of new balance ladies x country shoes (studs not spikes) apart from no laces in v good condition. They are free to anyone who would like them. Nb although size is listed as uk 9 , I would say they fit more like a 7-8. They are a size too big for me and I usually run in 6.5 running shoes. I will bring them to the club on Thursday, and to porthkerry.

If it's alright, could I have them? Would they suit an over-pronator? I accidentally did a 22-mile trail run yesterday because I couldn't get off the path and I had the BEST TIME... and now I want to do more trail running. Hadn't realised how much less impact trail running was on the ol' knees :)

yes Molly- I`ll bring them down to the club on Thursday for you to try- they are x country shoes, though, not trail shoes- the difference is in the studs- so these would be really good for the shorter distance off road runs eg Gwent Leagues, and generally wet/muddy/slippery off road stuff where you need a lot of grip. I think the studs would be a bit too knobbly to be comfortable over 22 miles of trail!!!!

Ah right, see, I don't know the difference between x country shoes and trail shoes yet. If someone else is desperate for them, go ahead... otherwise I'm dead interested in x country too!
