Just wondered who was going to be up there on Sunday to look out for you? I am catching a train and leaving stupid early! I would rather sit in a Cafe for an hour than be in a flap! I cant be messed with park and rides! Many runners will be at the village by 9am although the race starts at 11am. I think my fitness is better than when I set a Pb but on top of this I actualy have a strategy! I think this combination should work out barring a serious change in the forcast or other unforseen problems! 79 minutes at least I would wager. I suspect that the Bath hills are exagerated and I have a bit spare under the hood! I am going to leave off Reading now and have a 2nd go at Merthyr the end of the month as A backup. Not really a Pb course but fast enough to get one! Its 6mph winds and 7degrees! If it stays like that I will be very happy! 60% chance of rain but I am pretty used to that!

Lyndon
Vince, Dave James, Andy Blair and myself are running the Bath, as they say.See you there no doubt! If you're in good shape, the slopes are barely noticeable!

I think the key thing for me here is not to get too ambitious particularly on that first mile! Have a plan and stick to it and I should be ok! I can take chances at Merthyr with the experience gained. I just want to secure a Pb!

Well done everyone! A big thankyou to Andrew Blair! I would not have been as quick if it was not for his pace judgement! Just thrilled to smash my Pb finally after 7 years of trying!! 78.25 down from 79.45.

One or two said it was hilly and not as fast as they make out! I thought it was a fast course! Great race loved it!

Well done Lyndon it was a great race you ran really well and you helped me speed up the last mile trying in vain to catch you!
Conditions were good
I was delighted with a PB too 78 36
Well done to Vince who also got a PB 83 27

So pleased with my splits at the end! You pulled away at 10km (37.15 split) and I thought that was it! I felt the beginnings of a stitch so eased off and just hoped I could still get a Pb! It went and I caught you up at 8 miles and had a go at 10! You fought back but I felt good and had a massive surge on the last 2 miles! Edited by user 12 March 2017 22:36:46(UTC)
