Jeff, I must withdraw from the 10 mile handicap as I am injured. I haven't paid my £5 but if it is due given the lateness of my withdrawal, please let me know. Best of luck to everyone on the day - this is one of my favourite races. Maybe next year!

I am happy to help but as I said I really need to be near the start/finish as I will have the kids with me. I am not sure where I the spine road turn to Blackweir is? Can you enlighten me as I am not sure i would be able to help if I am far away from the riding stables.

I think the spine road is the road that turns off of Western Avenue where The Old Father Time Starts.Its 35 seconds into the video. (link above)

Old Father Time route
Course:
The course is accurately measured and is the same as the one used for the Old Father Time 5 mile, which starts and finishes on the Spine Road that runs through Pontcanna Fields. To get to the course from Llandaff Rugby Club, cross the footbridge and head along Western Ave towards the River Taff, turn into Pontcanna Fields along the Spine Road.

Claire, I think Jeff's probably put you in the closest marshal spot to the stables if I've understood it correctly. I think this is where the runners turn left off the spine road and onto the tree-lined path towards Blackweir Bridge on the outbound route. I expect you'll need to ensure they do turn left at this point (and turn right on the way back towards the stables on the inbound route) and be careful around the gate.

Jeff, It will me a struggle however think I'd still like to give it a go (est. 85 minutes) if possible. I'm planning to come down to Cardiff today so hopefully will make the club tonight else will settle up on the day.
