As some of you may be aware we have been doing the couch to 5k and 5k+ programmes for the last number of weeks. This culminated in both groups doing their 5k and 10k's respectively over the weekend. We are now having a short break for a few weeks, with the next official sessions beginning on the 9th January 2017 at Roath park.
So this is a post for 3 reasons
1) we are having a debrief on Saturday morning in Costa after parkrun and would like those that helped out to come along and share their thoughts;
2) those that have run either session as people new to running are welcome to come and give their thoughts too;
3) those that have seen the groups from a far are welcome to see what it is all about and volunteer for the future groups - the more people we have the better really
If you can't make the meeting and have any ideas on the groups please feel free to post below or message me.

Thank you to everyone that turned up for our meeting. Following on for it one of the issues we have raised is that do both groups to continue we need more volunteers. You don't have to commit to every session. For each session we need a minimum of 4 people and from January David McDonald can not commit to the 5k+. So please come and help. We are planning on a system to recruit volunteers similar to that used each week by parkrun where we issue an appeal so watch this space and help out.

I have little time available in the evenings but my situation might change by January.
I cant promise anything at the moment but if I can I will try to help out if my evenings become free.

Cheers Claire I will look into it. My hours are not very sociable at present and I only get the odd Tuesday and get days off mostly on weekends. No particular preference Claire, though weekdays are probably better than the weekends.

I did stick something on Facebook but will reply here as well. I can help out on Thursdays with the group starting in January. I should be able to make most weeks, but can't get there much before 7 so I can only help with the 5k+ group.
