Many of you will know Jen and Rory Coleman and be aware that Rory is battling with a rare degenerative condition, while Jen has just given birth to their second son, Charles. Their friends have set up a justgiving page (see link below) and Phil has kindly offered to donate all profits from his 5k 'The Chase' event on September 3rd towards. We will also be drawing a raffle that night and doing a cake sale. Thank you to those who have already offered raffle prizes (already got a personal training session, manicure and day passes to a local gym/spa). If anyone else can donate anything or are able to bake a cake, please can you inbox me? Myself, Kate Russell and Maria Zubizarreta are around and about selling raffle tickets. Thanks to people's generosity, we have some really good prizes including two tickets for the Wales vs South Africa rubgy match November 28th, a manicure at Aroma in Pontcanna, yoga classes with Yoga Fever, personal training sessions, day passes to the Laguna Health and Spa, some fitness accessories from Run and Become, nice wine and other edible goodies. If you're after raffle tickets, hopefully you'll see one of us on a Monday or Thursday club session or after parkrun on Saturday.
The draw will now take place at the Croups BBQ on Sunday 28th August.

I have several brand new boxed and packaged items that may be suitable for your raffle. I can bring them to the club this Thursday and you can judge for yourself. Edit Actually you may want to know now if your going to add them to your list of prizes. I have 20 X Tango Water Powered Alarm Clocks. (they actually run on water) And 5 X Texet pocket 100,000 word spell checker, curency converter, crossword solver, calculator and phone book machines. A reminder too that raffle tickets are being sold - Kate Russell will be armed with them at the Race of Truth, should find Maria in Tescos after parkrun this week and we will both be the next week. Also, any willing volunteers to make cakes for the cake sale, also to be held on the night of the BBQ (assuming we get a few more volunteers aside of Stu doing rice crispy cakes 😊), please let me know. I know there are some star bakers out there.

Finally totted up the takings from Sunday's fundraising event, A belated 'Thank you' to everyone who donated prizes, made cakes, bought raffle tickets or helped in any other way for the fundraising for Jen and Rory. We raised £421.10 from the raffle and donations, and £91.45 from the cake sale making a total of £512.55. Thanks again for all your support.
Most people who won raffle prizes have been contacted, but I'l be in touch in the next few days if you are one of lucky few still on that hit list :-).
