Could anyone give me a lift to the Coytrahen Canter on Saturday? I can meet you wherever is convenient, and it would be much appreciated.

I think it's 3pm. Pick you up at 1:30pm at Tesco, off Manor Way.

Noticed this gem from Evatt from a couple of years ago:

"I went to Coytrahen once.

Parked my car in this street. A local kid came up and said "Give us a quid and i'll look after your car mister"

I said "It's ok I've got an alarm"

He said "Does it put out fires......................

Not been back since !!!!!!! Lol."

There are several photos on the site of our successful Tug of War team....Richard Self to the fore....

Thanks Mel to you and your team for a thoroughly enjoyable Coytrahen Canter.

I struggled on the climbs but bounced and tumbled down the descents.

Congratulations and welcome back to Gafin Griffiths on his first place, Ralph Davey - first M70 and Mike Davies - first M60. I'm sure that Mel will forward a full list of results.

Delighted to hear Mel say that the race would be held next year.

I'd like to second Mike's comments and James' suggestion, always a thoroughly enjoyable race.

Thanks for your comments, I would be delighted to have it considered for the off-road champs next year ! I didn't like to ask as it is only 3k in distance.
I could make it much tougher and a longer distance, but our village enjoy it as part of our annual fun day programme and it fits in perfectly amongst our afternoon timetable.
Should the club ever need to organise a future, tough multi-terrain / fell race though, we have the course and facilities (community centre with showers/toilets etc.) to accommodate one.

sometimes its good to have a short race.. may the club could then match that with a 10-15 miler in the off road... roman run again ?

If I remember rightly, it used to be on the off road champs once but was taken off as 3k is too short.
The Roman Run was taken off off road champs due to the fact that 9 miles of it is on road! So I don't see that one making a come back.

Be pleased to hear what members thought of the Rabbit Run last week, perhaps that's one to consider adding. There's also the Cotrell Park race in December that we ran for the first time last year.

interested point but by that measure sospan is a lot on road too.. i'd guess over 1/2..

why is 3km to short..?

variety is the spice of life.. cannot have enough off road I say
