“Our primary research aim is to investigate the effect of fitness status on cardiovascular function across the life span. For some of our studies, we aim to recruit well-trained endurance athletes, and naturally, we thought this may be of interest to you.
Voluntary participants would receive a free cardiac and vascular health assessment, as well as a free maximal fitness test, which can be used to inform training strategies. All testing would be conducted within the Exercise Physiology laboratories at the Cyncoed Campus and can be arranged at a time that is convenient to each member. We hope that the findings of this research will aid the development of exercise training strategies to reduce the risk of age-related disease. Furthermore, we would relish the opportunity to use this research as a platform to establish strong links between Les Croupiers and Cardiff Metropolitan University.
For further information please see attached poster or if you wish to discuss any queries, please don’t hesitate to contact me and I can send you more information.”
Additionally, if you deem it appropriate, I would be more than happy to visit your club to give an overview of the research and discuss the opportunity to your members in more detail.
Thank you for being so helpful.
Regards,
Den
