Is anyone interested in doing this race on the 13th March in Bath University. I did it last year in North Wales and did not have a great run, so have some demons to exorcise (or exercise depending on how I feel!!) As this is on a course we know from the Gwent League and it is only over the bridge I hope we get a good turn out. I bet if we do turn up en masse then we could win some (individual and team) medals. http://www.bmaf.info/lib.../fixtures/bmafxc2016.pdf

I have tried today to use the BMAF website to enter this race. However I couldn't get it to work. Has anyone else entered? If so did you do it via the website or on the paper copy?

Thanks, Claire. I am interested in this, but haven't tried to enter yet. For anyone else interested - please note 1 March is the closing date. We did this a few years back and our ladies picked up medals in the F45 age category, with our M55 just missing out. Hope to see us entering a strong team again.

Afternoon Claire (and Mick). Just entered. I had to login to my account/membership on the BMAF website http://www.bmaf.info and then click on events etc. It also required membership of a Masters' Club (WMAA) for a reduction of £3. Any more takers for the M65 team? Edited by user 08 February 2016 07:35:23(UTC)

The BMAF website is the least user friendly website I have used in ages. I am not sure if I have managed to enter as I could not see anyway to change my card details (as the one on their records is out of date) and there appears to be no way to email anyone to find out how to do this. I have emailed the IT contact so hopefully they can sort it. Running the race will be easy compared to this!

Yes Claire. I thought the completion of the payment details seemed unusual.
Tracey, I think it will depend on the interest.

BMAF switched to a new updated website earlier this year. It meant uploading the required details of the paid up members of the 11 affiliated clubs to enable member entry into National Competition. Should you have difficulty entering, or getting into the system, IT@bmaf.info will assist you. You can also enter by downloading a paper entry, or by contacting some guy named Mel James, the BMAF Cross Country Secretary. Although the event is primarily an Individual Championship, there are team medals to be won and with it also being an open event all that is required of Les Croups members is club membership with UK(Welsh)affiliation. As Mick quoted, we have picked up medals here in the past, why not again. One travel tip once entered. Please allow plenty of travel time, as the Bath Half Marathon is on the same morning.

Anyone fancy liftsharing to this? The Bath Half is on the same day so will be busy and roads will be closed and we may need to leave early to make sure we get there on time

According to the British Masters website there are 5 of us running. Me, Tracey, Michael Davies, Huw Evans and David James. Julie you are not on the list. I would check with them to make sure they got your entry before you head there at the weekend and find out you can't run.

Don't panic, the list you see on the website is not updated. 8 Les Croups have entered and Evatt, Julie and Mick (Tabor) are also entered. There are 241 entries in total. Should the three(women)entered, want to down age to a o/35 team. (3 to score) I can do it for you. I can also down age a men's team, to a o/35 with Huw, Ev and Dave. Sorry I cannot include Mike And Mick as they are in the combined race. Please let me know. It is a shame that more Les Croups didn't enter as it a quite close venue, We hold these BMAF Championships all over the UK and this was a chance for the club to pick up some medals. (as we did last time it was held in Bath) The club has changed a lot in recent times and I don't know why we have lost the urge to compete within the major events. Hi Claire and Mel- I`ve had my race number sent to me a few weeks ago thanks. It would be great if you entered Claire, me and tracey as a 0ver 35 team Mel, if that's not too much trouble,...you never know we may even get a medal! I agree its a shame not more croups want to enter these type of events- Maybe its because they have` british` or` national` in the titles, which can appear to be intimidating, but they are great fun to do, and really not elitist.... so don`t be put off Ladies (and Gents)!!!

Hi Mel, I'm still a youngster (V60), so I'm in the Men's race.
Clare - Dave and Mike are coming over in my car (+ my sister Ros).

Poor "old" Mike is left out then. I may as well put you all into the 35+ team's Men's and Women's (2 team's) - 3 to score. Sorry Mike it is the burden of being old and being in the "minority" of good for age runners that find it difficult to make up older teams. Edited by user 07 March 2016 13:45:58(UTC)

I haven't had a race a number. Can I get it on the day? Yes I also think it is a shame more members don't do races like this. We are even struggling to get numbers for the Gwent League.
