Just putting out some feelers - having never made it out on a Sunday Cafe Castan run, is there anyone going out at about 10 min mile pace or slower? And I mean 10 min mile pace, not 9:30!
I'm not relishing the prospect of a 20 mile run by myself on Friday (tomorrow) morning, and wondering if there's the prospect of company on Sunday.
Ta.

Karen, I have a friend who's doing the London Marathon that I've been trying to persuade to join us on the long Sunday runs (she's not a member of the club but I've told her that she's more than welcome). I imagine her pace for longer runs is similar to yours. In fact I've just checked the Gwent League results for this year and you've both been finishing very close to each other! I'll get in touch with her and let her know that you're thinking of coming along on Sunday. She should be at the Welsh Cross Country Champs on Saturday if you're there so I can introduce you. The only thing I'm not sure about is whether she's got her mileage up to the 20 mile point yet.

20 for me on Sunday. Will either start at 9am for extra few if anyone else interested or 9.30 start with others hopefully doing 16 or more.

I'm new to the club and am yet to join the Sunday group but thinking of tagging along on Sunday at 9.30am and doing 16 miles. Pace will be 9min per mile (slower up the hill!). I've been reassured that I'll have company but just wanted to double check before I commit.

Lucy - I should be there on Sunday and will do the 'classic' 16-17 mile route. As I said yesterday there are bound to be others of a similar pace.

Everyone probably needs to be aware that parking might be tricky on Sunday morning with the St David's Day runs taking place a bit later on, and of course Junior parkrun. I suspect the Llandaff Fields car park may fill up pretty quickly but there should still be room in the other car park off Fields Park Road at that time. Don't leave things until the last minute though to get there.

Hi All - unfortunately I can't make it until 10 am this week. So as an alternative for those wanting a (slight) lie in, I, Jenny, Nadine and Sai are planning to do 20 miles from CC @ 10am. We'll be running down to Swanbridge and coming back through Dinas and Mickelston-le-pitt for a change of scenery. Looking to do average pace for the 20 miles of about 9:40 per mile. Everyone welcome to join us for some or all of the route.

Paul - thanks for the heads up with parking. I must admit I generally park at the UWIC (club) car park (50p) and jog over to avoid the commotion. The rugby club carr park can get very congested later on on Sundays if there is Junior Rugby on (very rare this winter with the soggy fields), so I try to avoid that, as you can easily get blocked in!

I plan on doing 18-20 miles in the morning. I'm meeting Tim Green at the club at the ungodly hour of 7am (which means I'll probably start at 6:45am to run there from home). If anyone wants to get up at 6-6:30am and join us you are more than welcome. We plan on heading towards the bay for a change and probably incorporating Parkrun on the way back. :-)

Really enjoyed today, wish I didn't work shifts so I could come on a Sunday morning more often.
