18 miles in one go is 3 hrs continuous running for me. As I sit, feet up, eating and drinking my way through a Sunday afternoon, I'm after your top tips on how to aid recovery, and ease aches in tired legs, ready for the next session.

Massage? Ice baths? Another run? Crying
Thanks.

I swim with a pull buoy between my legs, but you've got to be happy swimming.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast!

Good hot bath and then get on a reclining sofa and put your legs up.
restless legs need to be up in the air.
If not reclining sofa, then get a dining chair and put your legs up on that.
I have heard that a frozen bag of peas is good too.
Extremes of temp and ellivation.

Also rest days come in handy too.

Paula Ratcliff swears by ice cold baths! A walk with the dogs does me fine.
