Alrigth, it's been interesting seeing others goals on here, so I'll commit to some too:

General:
1. Avoid injuries and make it to more club sessions (while juggling LC road session and fell/mountain runs...)
2. Asking for disappointment, but wouldn't mind getting back on the Norwegian trail squad...
3. Get the times to get on the Castles team, preferably on a mountain stage

Races:
1. Transgrancanaria and Tor des Geants (as fast as possible, wherever that gets me)
2. Break into the top ten in a Skyrunning series or other major mountain race
3. Castles, and any other team events that may come up and fit the schedule

Times:
1. Transgrancanaria sub 20
2. Parkrun sub 17 (by as much as possible, need some speed back!)
3. How far under 60 can I get for 10 miles?

Goals for the year? I'm not sure I have ever set goals for a "hobby" before... Perhaps this is more than a hobby nowadays. Lets see.

1- 3:05 marathon to build on the solid start last year. However the only chance I will get to do this will be London as my second marathon will be in Snowdon. Snowdon goal will be 3:25.
2- Sub 18:30 5k. Only been under 19 once so this will be a challenge.
3- As per everyone else.. a Castles vet place by hopefully running a sub 66 minute 10 mile. Thats a tough one for me but hopefully doable.

Well having achieved my ultimate target of a sub 3:30 marathon (became an obsession - took me 3 attempts) I have to think about this. Maybe achieving a pb on the Boston marathon course is a tough ask (pb 3:24:41) so I'd settle for another sub 3:30. I'll see how the training goes and if I can stir clear of injury. So my targets are:
1. Enjoy Boston marathon - sub 3:24:41 would be a massive bonus, even sub 3:30.
2. Sub 1:30 half marathon - probably Cardiff in October as I'm only aiming to do 1 half in Spring (one in Ireland).
3. Sub 20 5k (I should race them more often!)
4. Don't do many 10ks but I will say sub 42 (Caerphilly if it's not boiling hot!)
5. Sub 70min 10 mile (need to choose a flatter one than Brecon!)
6. 1 mile - quicker than Tim Green 😉

Good luck to everyone in achieving their targets.

I never did one so I will use yours, hit four!

Done a 18.20 5km and a 61.48 10 mile so thats two! Did a 1.22.18 at the World Champs. And the Castles, still got time for the sub 18 too. Wink

Look forward to speed work on Tuesday. Im sure you will get one at Nos Gallen as your running well. (Better than me at the moment) Smile
