Hi All
I know some of you may not have started thinking about Christmas and the New Year yet but unfortunately we have to plan that far ahead in terms of parkrun events. Potentially there is the possibility of doing 5 parkrun's in 8 days. There are 2 set dates we have to do as they are Saturday's - Boxing Day (26th December) and 2nd January. The additional events are optional, but have become traditional for the Cardiff parkrun, they are Christmas Day and New Years Day, but obviously we can only put these additional events on if there are enough volunteers.
The above dates take account for the Cardiff parkrun, as for Grangemoor we are only expecting to do the standard Saturday events - but Steve will confirm this. We had originally spoken about doing Grangemoor on New Years Day as the second run in Cardiff which would have started at 10.30am, but we are unsure whether that would be fair on the team as they are such a new event. So the only way it would work is if we had an overlap of help, but as I said we are not expecting this one to go ahead - unless enough people come forward to help.
Not having the Grangemoor event on New Years Day does not mean you will miss out, apparently both Barry Island and Newport will be holding their NYD runs at 10.30am.
Below I have listed the possible events over this period, if you can help out out either the Cardiff parkrun or Grangemoor parkrun can you please let us know ASAP as we have to arrange things and inform parkrun HQ. I will be away for all these events so they will also be dependent on people coming forward to help with the Results and as Run Director.
