Hi,
I've signed up for this race and I know of a few others from Club that are doing it but not sure how many in total. It would be good if you could post here if you've signed up for this one.
I'm just pondering which Hotel to stay at bearing in mind road closures etc.

Thanks, Carol. I also signed for this race but may well not do it now. I've been invited to a social re-union of runners from a long time ago, and have come to the conclusion that my social instincts now exceed my competitive ones. (They always did, but I've found that I can no longer cater for both at the same time).

Dave E Williams and myself are also running this. We did ponder a overnight stay but the temptation of Bristol pubs on a Saturday night would of been to great. Instead we have booked the park and ride for £5 each which seems a bargain as it is only a short walk from the finish to the bus for the return

I have registered to run this marathon. I may also go for the P & R option. Dave Hodges comment about a short walk from the finish to the bus is somehow very appealing.

Thanks I m doing this too and was looking at the mega bus. There is one that leaves Cardiff at around 7 .30. Sunday morning gets to Bristol in plenty of time for the start. Not sure about getting one from Bath back to Cardiff, when I asked about booking for the shuttles bus back to Bristol they told there would be plenty of buses back.I m trying to keep the cost down.

Hi Julie, I will be booking Hotel for Saturday evening. I was thinking of Mecure Holland House or Ibis Central (not Temple Meads) as both close to start of race. Iwan will also be picking me up from Bath (if I make it that far!)

I'm also doing it, but taking the option of an early start and driving on the day with my wife and a few of her Pegasus RC comrades!
The bus back to Bristol is a bargain, but with a £50 entry fee we shouldn't have to buy a t-shirt!

Hi,
For those who are interested in such matters, I have now had sight of the race Licence and can see that the race has been officially measured and is noted on the Association of UK Course Measurers website - phew!
